Mid-Willamette Valley
Monthly Marketing Update- August 2025

We hope you're enjoying a fun and relaxing summer! As we roll into August, we’ve got a few important updates to keep on your radar.

First up: our next Transitions of Care Meeting is tomorrow, Tuesday, August 5th at 11:30 AM. This bi-monthly call brings together providers and case managers from across Oregon and Washington to strengthen collaboration around hospital discharges, readmissions, and start of care coordination.
This month’s agenda includes:
  • Continued planning for Case Management Week in October
  • Exploring strategies to improve communication with non-skilled care settings

Next, a quick heads-up- this is the final week to reserve ad space in the upcoming October edition of the Retirement Connection Guide for the Mid-Willamette Valley. Our team is in the final wrap-up before we go to print. We’ve collected most of the new ad copy and are finalizing updates to the housing and homecare grid listings. If you have any last-minute changes or corrections, please send them our way this week.

We're also grateful for any referrals you can share for potential advertisers. We’re proud to be the official resource for the Alzheimer’s Association, as well as several hospitals and area agencies on aging. If you know a business looking to connect with seniors and their families, we’re a one-stop shop—print, online, and networking.

Salem Health Resource Fair has been scheduled for October 29th – Registration now open for Sponsors ONLY

Nugget Of Knowledge
"Growth is painful. Change is painful. But nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don't belong."~ Mandy Hale

I’ve learned the hard way that giving energy to toxic situations or letting fear of failure take the lead only keeps us stuck. It’s easy to get caught in the drama or doubt, but growth demands that we rise above the noise. This quote is a reminder: change may be uncomfortable, but staying somewhere you’ve outgrown—out of habit, fear, or misplaced loyalty—is far more painful. Choose to pour your energy into what moves you forward, not what holds you back.
