Mid-Willamette Valley
Monthly Marketing Update- June 2026
This month has me reflecting on where strength comes from and how rarely it shows up where you expect it.
My daughter Molly graduates from college this month with a degree in mechanical engineering. I am beyond proud, and not just because of the GPA, the speed, or the impressive internships, though all of those are worth celebrating. I am proud because she went to school knowing her father was fighting cancer and would likely not be there for her graduation. She was right. He passed away before she could walk across that stage. She has been steadfast and resilient in ways that set an example for me every single day.
As you read this, I am in Washington, D.C., meeting with our senators and representatives to advocate for those living with Alzheimer's Disease. It is work that feels personal to me, and this trip has only deepened that. I met a new friend here named Christy Scattarella while volunteering together. Christy has Alzheimer's and is here advocating also. She shared her just-released TEDx talk with me, and I encourage you to watch it. Finding strength in unexpected places turned out to be the theme of my whole week.
The two priorities we are bringing to Congress are the ASAP Act, which would secure Medicare coverage for blood screening tests for Alzheimer's, and increased NIH research funding at the level scientists say is actually needed. This work matters, and I am grateful to be here. Follow CareAvailability on social media for updates from the 2026 Forum.
We are working on the next Mid-Willamette Valley edition now. If you have been thinking about reserving your spot, don't wait. We would hate for you to miss out.

What's New?
We have updated and improved our state and city service articles across the site. Be sure to browse the Senior Living and Care Type articles to find straightforward information on the fundamentals and pricing of housing and care options in your area. This update was significant. We added more than 2,000 articles covering senior care services in every state, with detailed information for 5 to 10 cities per state for each service type. That depth matters not just for families searching for answers, but for how families find us. As more people turn to AI-powered answer engines like ChatGPT and Google to ask questions rather than just search for keywords, having thorough, local, and accurate content means CareAvailability shows up when it counts.

"Scenery without solace is meaningless."
I am grateful to have a large reach in this industry. And sometimes that feels like the measure of success. Then I remember the phone call with a family who had no idea where to start. The senior who just needed someone to slow down. The case manager, whose face finally relaxed.
Those moments didn't feel significant the way a milestone does. But they mattered to the person on the other side. When the grind gets hard, I don't go back to the metrics. I go back to those small connections. Recognition and status don't mean anything without solace.
