Mid-Willamette Valley Monthly Marketing Update- May 2025
I’m excited to be the keynote speaker this weekend at Center 50+, where I’ll be sharing thoughts around the idea: "What if the things that happen TO us, actually happen FOR us?"
Every day, we get to choose the lens through which we view our lives. A growth mindset doesn’t mean we ignore challenges—it means we look for meaning and opportunity within them. We will experience loss, face work struggles, and have hard conversations, but we can choose to grow through it. Often, it's only in reflection that we see how those moments shaped us. Take a minute to consider your own growth—how adversity has refined you, or how simple shifts in perspective have made you appreciate what you get to do, rather than what you have to do.
This past month, our team had the opportunity to host several events for sponsors and community partners across different markets, and we’re grateful to continue building strong connections within our industry.
It’s never too late to make sure your marketing strategy includes Retirement Connection and CareAvailability.com. Every print guide saw growth last year, and our digital reach is continuing to expand. We’d love to connect with you to make sure you’re getting the most out of both platforms.
Also, we’re making a small—but impactful—update to how "availability" is reported on CareAvailability. Communities will now be able to specify whether they are currently accepting Medicaid, or only accepting residents after a Medicaid spend-down. We hope this will better support families, hospital staff, and referral partners in making informed decisions. If you’re in the field this week, please encourage housing communities to keep their listings up to date.
As always, our team is here to support your marketing goals. Let us know how we can help.

"The taco of success always drips with the salsa of failure." ~ Dani Bowman
Success is built through bold moves, lessons learned, and the occasional misstep. The messier the journey, the more flavor it tends to have—so don’t shy away from the hard parts. That’s where growth happens.
