Monthly Marketing Update- February 2026

Thank you to everyone who joined our Release Party last week. We were worried that the space would not hold the 375+ RSVPs we received, so we added a tent and heaters outside. We were also excited to see more people take advantage of the selfie station. The flow of the evening seemed to work great, though I wish I had been able to have more individual connections throughout the busy night. We posted 3 sets of photos on our Facebook page - please share and tag your photos on our social media pages.

I am also grateful to the many case managers who joined us at the Release Party, and as a result, we will be scheduling another resource fair coming soon for Kaiser Sunnyside and other hospitals.
At the event, I announced our early bird discount to save on your 2027 marketing by planning ahead. Those who signed prior to our event announcements were included in a drawing for an additional $500 savings - the winner was Courtyard Village. For those that take advantage of "Early Bird" reservations this month, you will save $300, but the ad copy and payments are not due until the fall. Take advantage of these savings and receive better placement in the 2027 edition. We are excited that so many existing sponsors, as well as new sponsors, have already renewed for 2027. Reminder - the early bird discount deadline is February 15th. This is just a way to save money by planning early and including us in your budget.

Our bi-monthly "Transitions of Care" Zoom call is scheduled for tomorrow, and we will focus on the needs of providers to facilitate smoother transitions to/from the hospital and share any success stories. Please email me any agenda items. We typically have about 100 people join in for the short 30-minute Zoom call.

Last month I hosted a webinar about "How AI has changed online searching for families" and shared some tips to improve your digital performance. We received high reviews for the content and several providers have asked us to provide additional ongoing content. We will now host another Zoom on March 3rd with additional related content.

Nugget Of Knowledge
"Gossip is the Devil's telephone, best just to hang up." ~ Catherine O'Hara

Catherine O'Hara nails it, but here's what often gets missed: gossip needs an audience. We focus on the person talking, but what about the listener? The one just nodding along, telling themselves they're not participating? That silence isn't neutral-  it's permission. I've been that person. Not contributing, but not leaving either. That's the trap. The bare minimum? Remove yourself. Walk away. Better yet... Speak up first, then leave. "I'm not comfortable with this conversation." Then go. It's uncomfortable. But gossip stops the moment someone refuses to play their part.
