Southern Oregon Monthly Marketing Update- July 2026
Twenty-plus cousins. One week. A lot of sunshine, a few strong opinions, and at least one situation that got quieter instead of better... I just returned from a large family vacation, and most of it was genuinely wonderful. But when conflict showed up, communication stalled, feelings went unspoken, and a few things got swept under the rug that didn't have to be.
It reminded me to ask better questions at work. Do we raise concerns early? Do we include the right people? Do we listen to hear, or listen to reply? I came home grateful for the culture we have built at Retirement Connection... and reminded that it is a daily choice.
July pulls us in two directions at once. Summer brings graduations, road trips, Scout troops, and good reasons to step away from the routine. Those breaks matter. We hope you're finding time to recharge while continuing the important work you do every day.
All guides have been distributed to hospitals, area agencies on aging, libraries, senior centers, physician offices, and hundreds of other locations throughout Southern Oregon. A sincere thank you to every sponsor who makes this possible. The early bird discount has ended, but if you planned to save $300 on your 2027 ad and haven't yet reserved your space, please reach out right away. Ad copy and billing aren't due until next year. This step is simply to lock in your space.
SPONSORS: We have scheduled the Case Management Resource Fairs for Providence Medford, Asante Rogue Regional, and Three Rivers hospitals. Please save the date and register early, as space is limited. (Details below). Our SONAR (Southern Oregon Networking and Referral) meeting happens every month and is free to attend. It consistently brings together 40 to 50 providers from across the senior industry. If you haven't been, it's worth showing up. Please spread the word and invite your referral sources and team members, especially those in the Grants Pass area.
As you plan your 2027 marketing budgets, make sure Retirement Connection and CareAvailability.com are part of the conversation. Don't assume your corporate office has already included us. Be your own best advocate. Sponsorship includes more than print and web. It opens the door to hospital fairs, networking events, and community connections that are only available to our sponsors.

In mid-July, CareAvailability.com is rolling out a cleaner, sharper search experience. Same mission, better tool.
The visual updates are intentional. We're moving to a two-column layout, with providers listed on the left and the map and filters together on the right. It's a design pattern familiar to anyone who has booked a hotel or searched Amazon, and that familiarity matters when families are already navigating a stressful decision. Each provider listing gets more breathing room, availability is easier to spot at a glance, and related educational articles are right there on the results page when someone needs more context.
Under the hood, we've also cleaned up the back-end code to improve how answer engines and AI search tools find and surface our listings. That matters more every month.
If you've referred families to CareAvailability.com, or if you're listed there yourself, mid-July is a good time to take a fresh look.
Contact support@careavailability.com if you have any questions about optimizing your listing.

"The days are long, but the years are short." - Gretchen Rubin
Summer often brings family visits, graduations, reunions, and time outdoors. It’s a season that reminds us how quickly life moves. Take the picture, make the phone call, sit a little longer on the patio, and enjoy the people around you. The moments that seem ordinary today often become tomorrow’s treasured memories.
